Expats is a one-hour comedy/drama series that gives a fresh, contemporary and humorous look at life in Paris from the perspective of six young expatriates who have quit their own country to start a new life and adventure in France.
As they attempt to assimilate themselves to their new surroundings, they will also struggle making contacts, finding a place to live, obtaining working papers, conquering the language barrier and overcoming culture shock as well as other social and cultural obstacles! With a melting pot of characters coming from different backgrounds, politics, and cultures, there are bound to be some interesting ways of how they look at each other and perceive the world.
However, a unique camaraderie eventually builds between these young strangers, providing each other with the essential support, networking tools and friendship they need to survive the Parisian life. While they begin contemplating their future, they will also come to question who they are, what they want, and why they left home. Whether it is to escape their past, conquer their fears or accomplish their dreams, these expats will realize that making (or re-making) a new life for themselves in Paris could be a long initiation!
